Loop

Terms of Use

Last updated: [DATE]

⚠️ DRAFT — NOT YET IN FORCE This is a draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. An adult who is responsible for Loop must review it, ideally with legal advice, fill in every [PLACEHOLDER] (including which state's law applies), and remove this box before it is relied on.

These terms are the rules for using Loop, run by [OPERATOR NAME] ("we"). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent. Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. Who can use Loop

Give your real birthday. An account that lies about age to get around these rules can be removed.

2. Your account

Keep your password and backup codes to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has got in, change your password (that logs everyone else out) and tell us.

3. Community rules

Loop only works if it feels safe. On Loop, don't:

4. What you post

You own what you post. By posting it, you let Loop store it and show it to the people you chose (friends, or everyone for a public post), only so we can run Loop. That permission ends when you delete it, except for copies we keep for a short time in backups or as part of a safety report (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Reporting, takedowns and how we enforce the rules

6. Parents

A parent of a child under 13 can see what we hold about their child, switch off video calls or photo and video sharing, and delete the account at any time from the parent dashboard.

7. Payments

Loop does not currently charge for anything. The only charge is the $0.50 card check a parent makes to verify consent, which is refunded immediately. If paid features are ever offered, their price and terms will be shown before anyone pays. [REVIEWER: update if memberships or donations are turned on.]

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account in Settings at any time, and a parent can delete their child's account. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

9. Loop is provided as is

We work hard to keep Loop safe and running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. [REVIEWER: disclaimer and limitation-of-liability wording to be written with legal advice — consumer-protection law limits what can be excluded, especially for children.]

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is important we will tell members in the app, and parents by email, before it applies.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States.
